Yay! Someone to geek out with about Glen Hansard and The Frames! What is it about the Irish? Those guys are intense! Favorite Frames moments: all of The Cost, plus “In the Deep Shade,” “Fake,” and the entire Swell Season record which is Glen doing acoustic stuff with mysterious Russian Marketa Irglova. “Falling Slowly” is my all time favorite Frames tune. Perfect…

  2. my list: rachel yamagata, sigur ros, jem (when the songs aren’t rebellious, i gotta be careful with that one) ms. holiday, ms. clooney, imogen heap, john mark mcmillan, josh baldwin, melody gardot and paulette wooten (whodathought i like some electronica?)

  3. My List: Sia, Kate Earl,Rachel Yamagata (how did you know about her, Ashley?) Patrick Watson, Sarah Blasko, Peter Bradley-Adams, Keane, John Mayer, Cold War Kids, Coldplay, Feist, Bizarrely Little Boots, and of course, U2!

“Beautiful Things” …. (sigh) There are no words to express the amazing healing power of this entire album.
