Yea! We did it!
Well, we did it. Don and I went to Raleigh today so we could visit the Apple Store at The Streets At Southpoint. I never in my life thought i could convince him to become a Mac family…but here I am posting this from my new 17″ Macbook Pro…I even took a picture for you from the stinking computer! I really feel creative now…

My Little Playboy
So…I know what you’re thinking…those pastor’s kids are going to heck in a handbasket.
I’ll just let you wonder about the circumstances leading up to this picture. Formulate your story and leave it for me in a comment. This should be interesting. -
Wow
So….this post made me laugh and got me fired up all at the same time. This is where I am right now, people. Read it and learn and little about me.

It’s Monday Morning….Again!
- Monday’s are a great way to reboot. Last week may have been crazy and hectic and no matter what I did or didn’t accomplish, today I can start all over.
- I have an incredible creative arts team to work with. Did you know that I have a director of media that is willing to wear really bad 80’s clothes, tease her hair into side pony tail submission and sing a Paul Abdul song just to make church fun and give us something to talk about all week? She rocks… I bet everyone who came to church yesterday will remember that one for a long time.
- Sunday afternoon naps are the best – especially when I get to nuggle with my little man, Reagan.
- We had a really fun rehearsal last night and I realize more and more how blessed I am with such a great team of singers, musicians and techies. I love hanging out with you guys! (even when Johnny gives in to high note frustration and throws his music on the floor)
- Tim McCoy is addicted to his Keytar – and we love him for it. (but not enough to let him play it for real)
- I’m so excited about our new staff member, Lori Capace. She’s going to be working with PB - Lord, give her strength!

Oops, I did it again…
I gave in….after my wonderful lunch with Carolyn and Angela, we went to here and got one of these.
Ahhhh…..happiness is here again!

Tuesday Morning Brain Dump
So…if Bryan does it, it must be cool enough for his little sis to do it, too…
- There is just nothing better than a great cup of coffee in the morning. I’ve been without Starbucks or PCJ for THREE WEEKS now and while I am realizing the benefits to my bank account and my jean size, I do miss it. Man, do I miss it…
- It’s football season again and I have completely lost control…of the remote. Don won’t even let me near the thing anymore. He gets up way too early in the morning so he can watch the highlights on ESPN and for some strange reason, he keeps coming up behind me and tackling me – you would think after 8 years of marriage he would know me better than that.
- Cardboard boxes don’t unpack themsleves -
- I’m putting pressure on myself to start doing something that I’ve known for years I should be doing…writing music. Those darn songs just won’t come to me in a dream or waft down from the heaven’s perfectly finished will they? <sigh>
- I love, love, love my boy Reagan. Yesterday he had his first dance class! And while his father just rolls his eyes everytime I call it that (he prefers “creative movement”) I couldn’t be more proud of him. His walked on his tip toes and hopped around like a frog with the best of them. He’s my little Fred Astaire in the making and I am completely in love. (Smoochie, all that training is going to come in handy when he makes his first touchdown!)
- Speaking of dance class, Glory Academy is in it’s second week of classes and we are having such an amazing season already! New students as well as familiar faces are filling our hallways with creative buzz and I just love it! My staff are some of the most amazing people on earth and I am privaledged to work with them.
- Did I mention that I’ve been 3 weeks without Starbucks?
So – that’s all for now. Love you all – (and by the way, comments make me smile:)

Let’s Get To It!
There are some monumental tasks ahead of me. Getting GAFA up and running again, planning for our huge….bigger than ever….you don’t want to miss it….Christmas production, and then the GAFA end of the year production that seems just right around the corner. Not to mention just the day to day ministry that takes place around here. Oh, and then there’s my family – yea, that… my adorable little baby, Reagan and my amazing smoochie, Don. I could be overwhelmed – but I’m not. This is actually how I work best; too much to do in too little time. I LOVE IT! I think it’s pretty clear that God is up to some pretty big things around here and I get to be right in the middle of it! Woohoo!
I think that I am most honored that the Creator has chosen me to be here at this moment, doing these incredible things. What is most frustrating to me is the people who have lost that sense of honor – those people who are in a bad mood everytime they come to serve or who roll their eyes when they are asked to stretch themselves a bit to accomplish Kingdom work. Man, I’m having trouble not writing in all caps right now…
I want to be one who is always excited about what God is doing and what my part in it is at the moment. Whatever I can do to advance the kingdom is what makes my heart beat a little faster. The church should be a place where everyone is chomping at the bits to serve not averting their eyes when a ministry leader attempts a friendly conversation. This is what we were created for, people!
